He was charming and nice and quite beautiful, in a manly sort of way." "Erskine Ravel was like one of those old movie stars, all dashing good looks and easy charm. He was... simply captivating." Ravel is frequently described in canon as being almost unnaturally attractive. He's quick with a smile and has "beautiful" eyes, and is said to look like he belongs in a tuxedo. He's one of the smallest/slightest of the Dead Men, being shorter than both Skulduggery and Anton, and leaner than Ghastly and Dexter. That said, he spent roughly 200 years in black ops in the war, and he hasn't let himself go the way some others have *cough*Saracen*cough*. He has a great sense of humor and is quick with a joke, although among the Dead Men he's somewhat unique in that much of his humor is self-deprecating. He has no problem calling himself out on being a whiner, or calling himself stupid, if it'll get a laugh or make someone feel more at ease. Speaking of which, Ravel is overwhelmingly kind. He cares deeply about the disadvantaged. He's encouraging and helpful. He's also a bit of an environmentalist. Even when things are dire he is sweet and friendly, unless you're one of the ones on the wrong side of the conflict. Cross him and you'll find that he's got a vindictive streak a mile wide. Ravel's known to be something of a playboy. He's been known for centuries as a ladies' man (although he's too old to get really hung up on orientation--he's just not as used to men) and loves to spend money.
